For all outstation Tempo Traveller and Force Urbania rentals across South India (9 to 26 seaters and Urbania), a minimum threshold of 300 km per day is charged. If your total round-trip distance exceeds the cumulative daily minimum, actual kilometers driven are billed instead.

Are toll gate charges, state border permits, and parking fees included in the per-km fare?

No. To keep our rates fully transparent, per-km rates cover the vehicle, fuel and maintenance. Toll fees (paid via Fastag), interstate entry permits (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu green tax) and venue parking are paid at actuals. Your driver provides original receipts.

Yes. All drivers assigned to hill routes (Ooty 36 hairpin bends, Valparai 40 hairpins, Kodaikanal, Coorg, Wayanad) have a minimum of 5 years verified ghat driving experience, hold valid commercial hill badges, and are fluent in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, English and Hindi.

Can AC be operated while driving uphill in hill stations?

Accepted Answer

Under hill safety standards and vehicle thermal management, AC is switched off during steep uphill climbs (for example Kallar to Coonoor, or Aliyar to Valparai) to maintain engine torque and prevent overheating. On flat hilltop tablelands such as Ooty town, Kodaikanal town or the Valparai plateau, AC runs normally.

How much luggage space is available in Force Urbania vs standard Tempo Travellers?

Standard 12 and 16-seater Tempo Travellers have a rear boot for 6 to 10 suitcases plus an overhead roof carrier with a waterproof tarp. The Force Urbania has a deep integrated interior boot holding 12 to 15 large suitcases without needing an external roof carrier.

Which vehicles can handle routes with tight hairpin bends?

Accepted Answer

Short-wheelbase 12-seaters, the 9-seater Maharaja and the Force Urbania 13 are cleared for tight hairpin routes such as the Valparai 40 bends and the Kallar-Coonoor 36 bends. The 20-seater and 26-seater cannot negotiate those bends without reversing and are routed on major highways and gentler ghats instead.

Do you arrange overnight halts and driver accommodation on multi-day circuits?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On multi-day circuits the driver allowance shown against each vehicle covers the driver’s night halt, food and accommodation. Many temple towns also have matha or trust guest houses, and we advise on those when you book the circuit.
